Chicago Olympics.

As a HUGE fan of the Olympics, I can tell you that I have been glued to the TV this year watching everything from white water canoeing to pairs speed walking. I love seeing of the random sports events that the United states doesn't regularly broadcast. I must say though, seeing all of the new buildings and arenas and courts that have been built specifically for the games, I am more than overwhelmed. I can't even fathom a visual of what would have happened to Chicago if the games had come here. Sure it would have been a great boost for the economy, but the city would have gone broke trying to keep up with the likes of Beijng and now London. Not to mention it would have landed right smack in the middle of Chicago's biggest summer concert, Lalapalooza.

Needless to say I will keep enjoying the Olympics and my Chicago separately!
